The boys eagerly woke the first morning to find the day’s lesson written on the dry erase board….”seeds.” I decided it was a good start living on the farm and all.
We read about seeds and then practiced writing the word along with a drawing, making sure to include the necessities…water and sun. Then outside we went with a bucket in hand, searching nature for seeds. Grass, flowers, corn, cactus, nuts, and berries: just to name a few of our treasures. Our collection was glued to paper for easy review and then we enjoyed a morning snack (sunflower and pumpkin seeds). During the afternoon sun, we started a tomato and herb garden. Here is to happy growing!
