9. Do hands-on arts and crafts

10. Find a simple science experiment book at the library and try some of the experiments

11. Play an instrument

12. Take dance lessons or karate lessons or learn yoga

13. Buy some binoculars, put out some birdseed, and learn to identify birds

14. Visit museums - hands-on science, history, art, marine, planetariums, aviation, racing, naval, automobile, etc.

15. Plan a trip, using maps and other resources

16. Make a grocery list and then go shopping

17. Start giving an allowance
